The defenders both went off injured with the original thoughts that both could miss a fair chunk of the season with serious injuries.
Lejeune had all sorts of rumours surrounding him including a broken leg, torn ligaments and many other ailments with Dummett's injury being said to be a torn hamstring.
Newcastle though, revealed in a statement that the two would likely miss weeks rather than months.
We know what injuries are like in that they are unpredictable so a time limit cant really be put on it but in the case of Lejeune, he was lucky that the injury wasn't far worse as he was brought down from behind with a dangerous Harry Kane tackle scissoring his legs.
Another piece of fortune is that we can probably just about manage to cover the absence of the two and with only two league games to play in the next three and a half weeks thanks to an international break coming up, they could be there or thereabouts in regards to returning.
